Regional Group in Frankfurt

In November 2007 Dominik Rinnhofer and Nelly Hunter traveled to Rwanda as the “International Participants”  to volunteer in RVCP. Deeply impressed by the work of the students decided on their return to Germany to support the project permanently. It came upon the idea of ​​the still very weak, conceptually in the “Village Concept” but intended to build international students part. Through press articles, posters and photo papers, the search began for motivated volunteers.

What goals do they have?

Their specific goal is to support the Rwanda Village Concept Project at various levels. On a financial level to collecting donations, organizing fundraisers, advertising and maintenance of contacts with sponsors, organization and transport of material donations, etc. is In terms of content, they can help, they investigate the background to the Rwandan students to design and print educational materials or contribute new ideas for projects. On a partnership level, working closely with the Rwandan students, promoting mutual trust and a better understanding of each other’s culture is of great importance. 

What ideas do they have for the future?

Goal for the future is to grow their association and  establish other regional groups in several cities in Germany. For larger number of members Working groups may be formed for each Micro Project, then the drive in very close collaboration with the groups in Rwanda, individual projects are progressing.
