RVCP PROVIDES GOATS TO VULNERABLE SINGLE MOTHERS

 In the dusk of 21st December 2016, at the office of Ngoma sector-HUYE district, there has been an inspiring event of providing 11 goats to 11 young mothers from three anti HIV/AIDS clubs which are Kaburemera, Matyazo and Nyakagezi clubs in other to improve their standard of living . This project has been done by Rwanda Village Concept Project (RVCP)  through its HIV/AIDS prevention program and sponsored the family two German medical students Martin Knippenberg and Jan Niklas Petry-Schmelzer. The guests of honor were invitee from the sector of Ngoma in Huye district and the two sponsors. The event attendance included also anti-HIV/AIDS clubs and RVCP members.

In his speech, the HIV/AIDS prevention program director Mr Mashyaka Emmanuel asked the attendees of the event especially younger mothers to be self-relied in searching solutions to different problems they meet and help each other in what they have. He also asked those women who got goats, if they reproduce, to provide only the first goat to others likely vulnerable single mothers in their community, thus helping the whole community to develop.
Martin, on behalf of supportive team, asked those women to take care of the goats and he assured the partnership in other coming RVCP projects.
On behalf of the local community leaders, the sector leader in charge of local government thanked RVCP and the two sponsors, and asked women to emphasize family planning in their villages. He also requested RVCP to continue educating people and working with clubs for the development of the country.
On behalf of RVCP, the Vice coordinator Miss Florence Sibomana thanks the sponsors for the great impact they made on the future of the mothers who received the goats as well as of their children. She promised RVCP will keep advocate and helping vulnerable people in our community.
At the end of the event, the women were happy to receive goats and assured they assured to pass the great help and love they got from RVCP to their club mates then neighbors.
