The RVCP in collaboration with students from Maryland University initiated the Oral Health Awareness initiative aiming at educating primary school children the importance of having and maintaining oral hygiene.

Following a needs assessment that was carried out at Rukara Primary school, teaching sessions were conducted, once the students completed the teaching sessions, they were also given tooth brushes and tooth pastes as lack of these tools was one of the major problems identified in this school.

More teaching sessions are planned for more classes as we aim to expand this initiative and reach more primary schools
